Anne Roberts, Piano
Anne Roberts serves as the full time Music Director at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church. Roberts oversees a large program including a Chancel Choir, Contemporary Choir, Children’s Choir, two Handbell choirs and a traveling music service group. Directing and accompanying are also a part of her duties at this parish of 1400 families.
A pianist and church organist, Roberts also loves composition and especially enjoys finding ways to express traditional themes in contemporary shades. Roberts has 4 books of organ pieces based on familiar hymn tunes published with Augsburg Fortress and GIA. Roberts, a lover of Jazz, heads up a Jazz and Standards group, Deja Bleu.
Roberts received her B.M. in Piano Performance and BME in Music Theory from Phillips University and a MHR, masters in human relations at the University of Oklahoma.
Paul Compton, Trombone
Paul Compton is Associate Professor of Trombone at Oklahoma State University. He studied trombone at the University of North Texas with Vern Kagarice and Tony Baker, at the University of Texas at Arlington with Andrew M. Russell, at the Henry Mancini Institute with Bruce Paulson and Andy Martin and at the Alessi Seminar with Joseph Alessi. Paul has also performed in master classes for Christian Lindberg, Denis Wick, Ben van Dijk, Ron Barron, Scott Hartman and John Fedchock. Prior to his appointment at OSU, Paul taught at North Central Texas College and the University of North Texas. He has enjoyed an extremely versatile career, with extensive experience as a solo, symphonic, jazz and chamber music performer.

Jesus holds a Master of Music degree in Orchestral Studies from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University and a Bachelor of Music in Double Bass Performance from the University of Texas at Austin.

Liza Villarreal, Violin
Liza Villarreal founded the Tulsa Camerata with her husband, Jesus. Liza grew up
in Tulsa and received a fantastic music education from participating in ensembles
such as the Tulsa Youth Symphony, Oklahoma Summer Arts Institute Orchestra, and Union
School Orchestras. Presently, she is a violinist with the Tulsa Symphony, Tulsa Ballet
and Tulsa Opera Orchestras. She also works as a full-
Liza earned her Master of Music from the University of Texas at Austin, where she
studied violin with Dr. Eugene Gratovich. She also worked closely with Dr. Laurie
Scott as Assistant Director of the University of Texas String Project from 2003-
Lanette Compton, Horn
Lanette Compton has been Assistant Professor of Horn at Oklahoma State University
since 2005. She earned her Bachelors of Music Degree in performance from the University
of Nebraska-
Lanette is presently a member of the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra and Tulsa Opera Orchestra. She has also been a member of the North Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, Texas Wind Symphony, Allen Philharmonic Orchestra, Flower Mound Chamber Orchestra, Garland Symphony Orchestra, Los Colinas Symphony Orchestra, Signature Symphony Orchestra, University of North Texas Symphony Orchestra, University of North Texas Wind Symphony, Camerata Chamber Winds and the Myriad Brass Orchestra. Lanette has also performed with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, Dallas Wind Symphony, Fort Smith Symphony, and Enid Symphony Orchestra.
Rachel Hay, Violin
Rachel Hay is a Tulsa Public Schools Elementary Orchestra Teacher and teaches strings at Lee, Mayo, McClure and Salk Elementaries. Rachel is also the
Cascia Hall Preparatory School Orchestra Teacher. Rachel plays with the Tulsa Signature Symphony & Quartet. Rachel obtained her Master of Music in Suzuki Pedagogy and Music Performance from the University of New Mexico in 2008 and her BM in Violin Performance from the University of Iowa in 2006.
Ben Hay, Trumpet
Ben Hay is a native of Oklahoma and new resident of Tulsa. Ben holds degrees from Oklahoma State University (B.M. Performance) as well as the University of New Mexico (M.M. Performance). Currently, Ben serves as an adjunct instructor for Tulsa Community College, where he teaches trumpet, chamber brass, and jazz combo.
An active orchestral and freelance musician, Ben has performed with the Tulsa Symphony
Orchestra, Tulsa Signature Symphony, New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, and the North
Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, among others. He has also performed as a member of
the University of New Mexico graduate and faculty brass quintets. In 2009, Ben was

Trio Spiritoso
Trio Spiritoso was formed in 2004 after flutist Carol Hilborn, oboist Amy Pickard, and cellist Gordon Robson had met and performed with one another on various occasions over the course of twelve years at Christ Presbyterian Church. Since that time, the trio has performed in numerous public venues in the greater Tulsa area with regular appearances at Cancer Treatment Center and Stone Bluff Cellars Vine & Dine Events, as well as charitable events, weddings and other private occasions. Trio Spiritoso has the distinction of being the first classical music ensemble ever to perform at SummerStage, where they have appeared twice and are scheduled to perform again this June 23rd, 2011.
Chris Brown, Guitar
Chris Brown has studied and played guitar for over thirty years. He began as a blues/jazz/rock
guitarist but early on had an interest in classical guitar eventually studying for
seven years in college earning a Bachelor of Music from the University of Mary Hardin-
For the last few years he has done more group performing than solo work and stays
involved in many different musical projects. In addition to guitar, Chris also plays
bass, mandolin and banjo. His skills were recently used in a tribute to Gershwin
at the 2010 OK Mozart where he played banjo in a Porgy and Bess arrangement. Chris
is a member of Guitarorchestra-
Brown is an arranger, transcriber and composer for guitar, jazz groups, guitar ensembles and other musical settings. He is a full time instructor at Oral Roberts University and besides coordinating all guitar classes and guitar ensemble he teaches jazz combo, improvisation and contemporary theory.
